Scoot Puts A321neo On Singapore-Wuhan This Winter

Scoot plans to fly Singapore–Wuhan with a 236-seat Airbus A321neo in Northern winter 2026/27 instead of the Boeing 787-8, except between 30 January and 16 February 2027, AeroRoutes reported on 31 August 2026. The winter file starts the A321neo on 25 October 2026 and keeps it through 27 March 2027 on that exception window. Frequencies, based on Singapore departure, vary through the season: five weekly from 25 October to 3 November; six weekly from 4 to 12 November; five weekly from 13 to 22 November; six weekly from 23 November to 9 December; daily from 10 December to 4 January 2027; four weekly from 5 to 22 January; daily from 23 January to 25 February, with the 787-8 listed only from 30 January to 16 February; five weekly from 26 February to 8 March; and six weekly from 9 to 24 March.

The winter pairs are TR120 leaving Singapore at 17:55 and arriving Wuhan at 22:55, and TR121 leaving Wuhan at 00:15 and arriving Singapore at 05:25, both listed as 32Q, AeroRoutes’ A321neo code, except during the late-January 787-8 window. AeroRoutes published the 236-seat figure for the A321neo; it did not publish a 787-8 seat count in that item, and this article does not infer one. The 787-8 remains Scoot’s widebody on the route only for that mid-winter block.

AeroRoutes did not say why the A321neo replaces the 787-8 for most of the winter, and it did not extend the swap to other Scoot China city pairs. Travellers booked on TR120 and TR121 between late October and late March should check the operating aircraft on the ticket, especially around Chinese New Year, because the file puts the 787-8 back on for just over two weeks.

The A321neo is a single-aisle Airbus with sharklets and two underwing engines. Any illustration published with this story is an original scene of that type in Scoot yellow, not a copy of a particular Singapore or Wuhan photograph, and it should not be read as a specific registration. Scoot’s 787-8 remains in the airline’s long-haul pool; its absence from most of the Wuhan winter file is a schedule fact, not a fleet retirement.

AeroRoutes’ 31 August Wuhan note is limited to this city pair, these two flight numbers, and the dates above. If a later OAG or Cirium snapshot keeps the 787-8 on TR120/TR121 all winter, or drops the 236-seat A321neo listing, that would be a new filing, not a contradiction of today’s read.
