Cebu Pacific is restoring international flying at Davao. The Philippine low-cost carrier announced on Thursday, 13 August 2026, that it will resume international service from Davao International Airport (DVO) during the Northern Winter 2026/27 season, reconnecting the southern Mindanao hub with two major Asian gateways.
Under the airline's latest schedule filing, Cebu Pacific will operate Davao to Bangkok Don Mueang (DMK) three times weekly from 26 October 2026. A second route, Davao to Hong Kong (HKG), will run four times weekly from 25 October 2026. Both services are planned with the carrier's Airbus A320 and A320neo narrowbody family.
The move returns nonstop international capacity to Davao after a period without these links, giving travelers in Mindanao direct access to two of the region's busiest hubs rather than routing through Manila or Cebu. Bangkok's Don Mueang is a key low-cost gateway in Southeast Asia, while Hong Kong offers onward connectivity across North Asia.
Cebu Pacific has been filing schedules for both routes over recent months, and the late-October start aligns the resumptions with the beginning of the Northern Winter timetable, when leisure and visiting-friends-and-relatives demand typically firms up.
The Airbus A320neo in particular gives Cebu Pacific the trip economics to make thinner international sectors from a secondary hub viable, thanks to more fuel-efficient engines than earlier-generation narrowbodies. The A320 family forms the backbone of the airline's short- and medium-haul network.
For Davao, the return of Bangkok and Hong Kong flights is a boost to the airport's international profile and to Mindanao's connectivity as Cebu Pacific rebuilds its regional route map for the 2026/27 season.
