easyJet will grow its Southampton Airport network to 11 routes next summer after putting three new services on sale for 2027: a daily domestic link to Edinburgh and twice-weekly flights to Malaga in Spain and La Rochelle in France. The UK's largest low-cost airline announced the additions on 15 October 2026 as part of a wider batch of five new UK routes for summer 2027.
The three new Southampton routes
- Southampton – Edinburgh: daily from 28 March 2027, fares from £32.48
- Southampton – Malaga: Tuesdays and Saturdays from 1 May 2027, fares from £53.48
- Southampton – La Rochelle: Tuesdays and Saturdays from 29 May 2027, fares from £32.48
The Edinburgh service is the headline addition. easyJet says it is strengthening domestic connectivity between the north and south of Britain, and a daily frequency from the first day of the summer schedule gives business travellers as well as leisure passengers a usable option between the Hampshire coast and the Scottish capital.
Malaga adds another Spanish destination alongside existing easyJet flying from Southampton to Alicante, Barcelona and Palma, giving travellers in the south a direct link to the Costa del Sol. La Rochelle, on France's Atlantic coast, is a smaller leisure market that suits a twice-weekly pattern built around weekend and short-break travel.
Eleven routes from Southampton
The three new services join easyJet's existing summer flying from Southampton to Alicante, Barcelona, Belfast, Faro, Glasgow, Manchester, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Palma de Mallorca. With the additions, easyJet will offer 11 routes from the airport in summer 2027.

"From new services to Malaga and La Rochelle, to strengthening domestic connectivity, we're continuing to grow our network and offer customers even more travel opportunities."
Chris Tibbett, executive director for commercial aviation and marketing at Southampton Airport, said the airport welcomed easyJet's investment in expanding its network from summer 2027. He singled out the new daily Edinburgh service as particularly welcome because it strengthens links between the south coast and Scotland.
Part of a wider summer 2027 push
Southampton was the centrepiece of a five-route release. The other two new services are London Gatwick to Cagliari in Sardinia, three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 1 June 2027 with fares from £51.48, and a London Luton link to Rennes in Brittany from 1 July. The batch follows 18 new routes that easyJet put on sale in September, and easyJet holidays will also sell package holidays to Edinburgh and Malaga.
Seats are available to book at easyJet.com and through the airline's mobile app. easyJet has not named the aircraft for the new Southampton routes, but the airline flies an all-Airbus A320-family fleet, so passengers can expect a standard single-aisle Airbus on all three services.
Why it matters for Southampton
Southampton is a compact regional airport whose catchment also includes the passengers who use the city's busy cruise port, so every additional jet route adds meaningful choice for local travellers. A daily Edinburgh rotation, plus two new leisure markets, gives the airport a stronger mix of domestic and European flying heading into 2027.
For easyJet, the move shows it is still willing to add capacity at smaller UK airports alongside its larger bases. With fares from £32.48 and an on-sale date more than five months before the first flight, the airline is giving itself a long runway to build demand on the new routes.
