JetBlue Airways has announced it will discontinue five routes from Newark Liberty International Airport effective July 8, 2026, cutting service to Aruba, Cancún, Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, and Tampa.
The Newark route cuts come as JetBlue deepens its Blue Sky partnership with United Airlines, which operates a massive hub at Newark. TrueBlue and MileagePlus members can now access reciprocal loyalty perks when flying on either airline.
JetBlue operates the Airbus A220-300 on many of its routes, and the network restructuring reflects the carrier's strategy to focus capacity on markets where it holds stronger competitive positioning.
