Ryanair has unveiled its largest-ever winter schedule in Morocco, committing 5.3 million seats across 156 routes for the 2026/27 season and opening a new base in the capital, Rabat.
The programme represents a 12% increase on last winter, adding around 580,000 seats and introducing 17 new routes. Together the network will connect Morocco with 14 European countries, deepening the low-cost carrier’s already substantial presence in the North African market.
Rabat is the biggest winner, gaining seven new connections alongside the opening of Ryanair’s new base there, while Marrakech and Agadir each pick up five new routes. Among the new links are Rabat to Stockholm and Kraków, Marrakesh to Wrocław, and services from Agadir to Milan, Nuremberg, Bratislava and Gdańsk, spreading Moroccan connectivity deeper into Scandinavia, central Europe and Italy.
“Ryanair is delighted to announce our biggest ever Winter schedule for Morocco, delivering 5.3m low-fare seats across 156 routes, including 17 exciting new routes and the opening of our new Rabat base for Winter,” said Ryanair chief executive Eddie Wilson.
The expansion brings Ryanair’s Morocco operation to 16 based aircraft, an investment the airline values at $1.6 billion and which it says supports more than 8,500 local jobs. Basing aircraft in the country, rather than simply flying in from European bases, allows the carrier to run early-morning departures and pack more rotations into each aircraft’s day.
Morocco has become one of the most actively courted markets in Ryanair’s network as the country pushes to grow inbound tourism and air connectivity ahead of major events on its calendar. Low-cost capacity of this scale tends to stimulate demand rather than simply redistribute it, opening city-break and leisure traffic on routes that legacy carriers have historically underserved.
For travellers, the headline is choice: 17 new city pairs and a materially larger seat count typically translate into lower average fares and more frequency, particularly on the leisure-heavy routes into Marrakech and Agadir. The new Rabat base also raises the capital’s profile as a point-to-point destination rather than a connection over Casablanca.
The winter programme forms part of Ryanair’s broader push across its network for the 2026/27 season, with Morocco singled out as one of its fastest-growing markets. As with all Ryanair schedule launches, the routes are subject to seasonal timing and the airline’s usual load-driven capacity management.
