Saudia has filed a broad set of international schedule changes for the 2026/27 northern winter season, with the Saudi flag carrier lifting frequencies across a range of long-haul and regional routes from its Jeddah base. The revisions, reflected in filings dated 9 August, add capacity on multiple markets, though the airline notes that several of the increases are not yet open for reservations.
Among the headline changes, Jeddah–Amsterdam is set for a tentative rise from four to five weekly flights from 26 October, operated by Boeing 787-9 and 787-10 equipment. Jeddah–Bangkok Suvarnabhumi increases from an initially filed five to six weekly from 25 October, also with the 787-9/-10, while Jeddah–Casablanca holds at 14 weekly rather than the 12 first filed, again on the Dreamliner.
Regional and subcontinental markets feature prominently. Jeddah–Bangalore is planned to grow from four to seven weekly from 26 October using Airbus A330 aircraft, Jeddah–Bahrain rises from four to five weekly on A320/A321neo equipment, and Jeddah–Cairo is pencilled in to increase from eight to nine daily from 11 January. Saudia also lists a new Jeddah–Abuja service from 1 December at three weekly, using the long-range Airbus A321XLR.
The filing points to a Saudia intent on thickening its winter network across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South Asia, matching capacity to seasonal demand and its wider ambitions to grow Jeddah and the Kingdom as connecting points. The mix of widebody Dreamliners, A330s and narrowbody neo-family jets shows the airline tailoring aircraft to route length and expected loads.
As with all forward schedules, the details remain subject to change, and Saudia has flagged that a number of the additional flights are not currently available to book. Even so, the scale of the adjustments underlines the carrier's plans for a busy 2026/27 winter timetable.
