SkyUp is adding two new international routes from ChiΘinΔu, the capital of Moldova. Flights to Dubai will start on 20 December 2026, followed by London Stansted on 26 March 2027. Both routes will be operated by the brand's Moldovan carrier, Sky Up Nistru, under the 4V flight code.
ChiΘinΔu to Dubai from December
SkyUp opened ticket sales for the new routes on 6 October. The first flight from ChiΘinΔu International Airport (RMO) to Dubai International (DXB) is scheduled for Sunday 20 December 2026. According to Air Journal, the route will build up in stages: Sunday flights start on 20 December, Tuesday flights on 22 December, and a Friday rotation is added on 8 January 2027, taking the service to three flights a week. FlightGlobal also reports that Dubai flights will begin twice weekly in late December before rising to three a week.
The airline says the Dubai flights will operate until 28 March 2027, which makes the route a winter-season service. SkyUp has not said which aircraft type or cabin layout it will use. The SkyUp brand flies Boeing 737s.
Dubai is a new winter destination for SkyUp but not for ChiΘinΔu. Air Journal points out that flydubai already flies between the two cities, and the Moldovan news agency Moldpres reported that ChiΘinΔu's six millionth passenger of 2025 arrived on a flydubai flight from Dubai.
London Stansted next spring
The second route, from ChiΘinΔu to London Stansted (STN), will start on 26 March 2027 with two flights a week, on Mondays and Fridays. SkyUp says London will become the 27th destination in its summer programme from ChiΘinΔu, which will cover 12 countries.
The London route adds to the summer 2027 expansion SkyUp presented in August. According to Air Journal, that programme includes new services from ChiΘinΔu to Vienna, Milan Bergamo, the Croatian cities of Pula and Split, and Paris Charles de Gaulle, which joins Nice as a French destination next summer. In its August announcement, SkyUp chief executive Dmytro Sieroukhov said the airline builds its schedules to give passengers direct flights to Europe's main capitals and holiday spots without time-consuming connections.
Launch fares
To mark the launch, SkyUp is offering promotional one-way fares from UAH 8,135.86 to Dubai and from UAH 2,425.60 to London, including airport fees, for bookings made between 6 October and 4 November 2026. Air Journal put those fares at about β¬161 and β¬48. The number of seats at the promotional price is limited.
Who actually flies the routes
Behind the SkyUp brand there are three separate airlines. SkyUp Airlines is the Ukrainian carrier, using the PQ code. SkyUp MT Limited is based in Malta and uses U5. Sky Up Nistru is registered in Moldova and uses 4V. Sky Up Nistru was previously known as Vision Air, and on 1 May 2026 SkyUp said it had received an updated air operator certificate after the name change. According to SkyUp, the Moldovan airline holds the permissions needed to operate commercial flights to the European Union and the United Kingdom, which is what makes a ChiΘinΔuβLondon service possible.
A fast-growing airport
The new routes come as Moldova's main airport grows quickly. Figures from the Civil Aviation Authority of Moldova, cited by Air Journal, show ChiΘinΔu handled 6,080,431 passengers in 2025, up from 4,142,413 in 2024, an increase of 46.8%.
For SkyUp, the two launches add a long-haul-style leisure route to the Gulf for the winter and a link to one of London's main low-cost airports for the summer, strengthening the brand's base in ChiΘinΔu. For passengers in Moldova, Dubai gains a second airline option this winter, and London Stansted gets a twice-weekly link from next March.
