Turkish Airlines NS27 Filings Boost Boston, Dallas, Montreal and Vancouver Frequencies

Turkish Airlines has filed a fresh batch of Northern Summer 2027 intercontinental changes that thicken several North American markets and reshuffle widebody types, AeroRoutes reported on September 30, 2026 (data as of September 29). The update is a schedule-filing story, not a press-conference launch: frequencies and aircraft swaps appear in Turkish’s reservations data and can still move before March 2027.

On the U.S. East and Midwest, Istanbul–Boston rises from 7 to 9 weekly on the A350-900 effective June 14, 2027. Istanbul–Atlanta climbs from 10 to 12 weekly on mixed 777-300ER/787-9 metal from May 31. Istanbul–Dallas/Fort Worth moves from 7 to 9 weekly from May 31, then to 10 weekly from August 14, still on 777-300ER/787-9. Istanbul–Houston edges from 10 to 11 weekly from April 3. Detroit sees an A350-900 replace the 787-9 on the daily pattern for March 28–June 13, while Miami flips the other way—787-9 replacing 777-300ER on TK157/158 for March 28–June 14.

On the West Coast and Canada, Los Angeles switches TK179/180 to A350-900 from March 28. San Francisco’s TK079/080 moves to 787-9 from March 28, while TK289/290 rises from 3 to 4 weekly from June 15 with a mixed A350/787 plan. Montreal jumps from an initially filed 3 weekly A350-900s to 6 weekly (one A350-900 plus five 787-9s) from March 28. Toronto Pearson goes from 6 to 7 weekly 777-300ERs, and Vancouver doubles from 3 to 6 weekly with a 787-9/777-300ER mix, both from March 28.

Elsewhere in the same filing, Turkish adjusts Caribbean and Latin flying (Caracas and Havana to A350-900; Panama City terminator to 5 weekly) and revises several Asia and Africa gauges—including Bangkok and Phuket on A330-300 instead of previously filed A350-900s, Hong Kong and Tokyo frequency lifts, and Lagos rising toward 10 weekly. Those non-U.S. lines matter for network planners but are secondary for U.S. and Canadian travelers watching summer 2027 seats.

For passengers, the actionable read is more Istanbul seats into BOS, ATL, DFW, IAH, YUL, YYZ and YVR, plus type swaps that change cabin products on LAX, SFO, DTW and MIA. Star Alliance connecting traffic over IST should see more bank depth on peak summer days if the filings hold. Always re-check the Turkish app; AeroRoutes notes airlines modify planned operations after posting.

The pattern across the North American bank is more seats first, type polish second: frequency lifts on Boston, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, with A350 or 787 substitutions on selected West Coast and Midwest days. That combination matters for both origin-and-destination premium demand and for partners feeding Turkish’s Istanbul hub.

Aviation Shop will monitor later NS27 revisions for whether the Boston and Dallas upgauges stick and whether A350 deployments on Los Angeles remain stable through the June shoulder. This article is based solely on AeroRoutes’ September 30, 2026 summary of Turkish filings as of September 29.
