Eurowings Grows Winter 2026/27 Network With Baghdad and Premium BIZ on A320neo

Eurowings is pairing a thicker winter 2026/27 route map with a comfort push on its Airbus A320neo fleet. In press material dated September 2026 and summarized by Aviation24.be on September 30, the Lufthansa Group leisure carrier said Berlin will grow to 38 destinations, Baghdad will join the network from December 10, and Premium BIZ seats will go on sale from December 1 on all Dubai flights plus selected London Heathrow, Mallorca and Málaga services.

From Berlin, winter adds include Rome, Bologna and Kuusamo, while London Heathrow and Nice continue from summer. Bilbao and Porto each get twice-weekly winter flying for the first time, with extra December links to Lisbon, Sarajevo and Jerez de la Frontera. Hamburg gains Jerez; Hanover adds Alicante and Cairo; Stuttgart gets twice-weekly Cairo. Cologne/Bonn will offer Klagenfurt and Pristina in winter for the first time, with Tbilisi in December and January. Düsseldorf keeps Tallinn (twice weekly) and Milan Linate (up to twice daily), combining with Malpensa for up to three daily Düsseldorf–Milan options.

Baghdad is the headline Middle East addition: two weekly flights from both Berlin and Düsseldorf from December 10, alongside a 14-weekly Dubai program—daily from Berlin, four weekly from Stuttgart and three from Cologne/Bonn—plus Jeddah, Erbil, Tel Aviv, Beirut and Amman links detailed in Eurowings’ winter briefing. The carrier frames those Middle East links as VFR-friendly capacity for the colder months, not as a one-off charter overlay on the German bases.

Premium BIZ is the product story. Eurowings is converting A320neo forward cabins in November so that from December 1 guests can book eight seats in a 2–2 layout using Geven “Comoda” chairs with more recline, width, legroom, leg rests and USB power—replacing 18 denser seats in those two rows. Dubai flights get the full medium-haul soft product (pillow, blanket, amenity kit, porcelain dining); shorter Premium BIZ routes still include catering, a welcome drink, towel and nuts, per Eurowings’ comfort briefing.

Outside Germany, Prague–Rovaniemi starts December 20 as a weekly Sunday service through February 2027, making Prague the fourth Eurowings city with a direct Finnish Lapland link after Berlin, Düsseldorf and Hamburg. The package is aimed at winter sun, city breaks and VFR Middle East traffic rather than a pure ski charter play for Northern Europe.

For travelers, the bookable milestones are December 1 for Premium BIZ inventory and December 10 for Baghdad. Frequencies and aircraft types can still flex before the winter season opens; Eurowings points customers to eurowings.com and the airline app for live inventory. Aviation Shop will watch whether Premium BIZ expands beyond the Dubai, Heathrow, Mallorca and Málaga set once the November conversions finish across the A320neo fleet.

This article draws on Eurowings’ winter 2026/27 and Premium BIZ press releases and Aviation24.be’s September 30 summary; destination lists above follow those primary materials and should be re-checked in the airline’s booking engine before travel.

Readers should treat schedule filings, fleet counts and cabin numbers as time-stamped: airlines revise reservations data, and delivery calendars can slip after an announcement window. Aviation Shop will update this file if a primary source changes a material figure such as aircraft type, weekly frequency, seat count or an effective date cited above.
