United Airlines is continuing to build out its network from San Francisco International Airport (SFO), the carrier’s fifth-busiest hub, with two more domestic destinations joining its schedule from the California gateway later this year.
United serves more than 100 destinations from San Francisco and is operating an average of over 570 daily round trips there in 2026. This year’s summer program is the largest the airline has ever flown from the airport, with 28 additional flights added to popular markets such as Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego and Washington, D.C. The two newly confirmed routes push that expansion further.
The first is a returning service. From October 25, United will reinstate daily flights between San Francisco and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), a route it first launched in 2017 and operated until 2020 using a mix of Airbus A319, A320, 737-800 and 737-900 aircraft. The reinstated service will be flown by the Boeing 737-800, configured with 16 Business Class seats and 150 in Economy. Flight UA 2718 is scheduled to leave San Francisco at 12:15 p.m. and arrive in Cincinnati at 8:05 p.m., while UA 2719 departs Cincinnati at 7 a.m. and lands back in San Francisco at 9:15 a.m.
United says San Francisco has been one of Cincinnati’s largest underserved markets. According to U.S. Department of Transportation data, 98,900 round-trip passengers traveled between the two cities in the 12 months to April 2026, with Breeze Airways — currently the only carrier offering nonstop service, at three flights per week — carrying 23% of them and most of the rest connecting over other hubs.
The second addition is an entirely new market. From November 7, United will operate one weekly Saturday flight between San Francisco and Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) in West Palm Beach, Florida — an airport now officially known as President Donald J. Trump International Airport, with its IATA code set to change to DJT on August 18. The seasonal service will use a Boeing 737 MAX 8, also configured with 16 Business and 150 Economy seats.
That flight is scheduled to depart San Francisco at 8:10 a.m. and reach West Palm Beach at 4:38 p.m., with the return leaving at 5:45 p.m. and arriving back in San Francisco at 9:05 p.m. Schedule data from aviation analytics provider Cirium shows the route running through April 3, 2027, indicating a seasonal operation. No nonstop service has previously linked the two airports, despite an estimated 25,300 round-trip passengers traveling between them in the 12 months to April 2026.
“United Airlines continues to expand travel options for our passengers, and we’re pleased to welcome new nonstop service to San Francisco,” said Laura Beebe, Palm Beach County Department of Airports Director. “This route strengthens our West Coast network and provides additional connections through United’s San Francisco hub.”
San Francisco remains one of United’s most important West Coast hubs, where the airline holds more than 40% of the market, well ahead of Southwest and Alaska Airlines. From the airport it flies to destinations across Europe, Latin America, Asia and the Pacific, and both new domestic routes are designed in part to feed connecting traffic onto that long-haul network.
