Wizz Air Acquires TUI Slots at London Luton and Bases 15th A321neo for 6 New Routes

Wizz Air has announced a significant expansion at London Luton Airport, acquiring slots from TUI and launching its 15th based aircraft at the airport. The move underscores the Hungarian ultra-low-cost carrier's continued commitment to growing its UK footprint, with six brand-new routes set to launch from Luton.

The newly acquired TUI slots will allow Wizz Air to operate six new routes from London Luton. The airline's 15th based Airbus A321neo at Luton will serve destinations including Yerevan, Alicante, Lyon, Turin, Corfu, and Faro starting June 12-13, 2026.

The Airbus A321neo is central to Wizz Air's fleet strategy, offering greater fuel efficiency and a lower cost per seat. With a typical seating configuration of around 239 seats in Wizz Air's all-economy layout, each additional A321neo represents a meaningful increase in available capacity.

The Yerevan route introduces brand-new connectivity between Armenia and the UK.
