easyJet has put eighteen new routes from ten United Kingdom airports on sale for Summer 2027, expanding its network into Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Greece, Cyprus, Montenegro and Bulgaria — including the airline’s first UK flights to Girona.
Aviation24.be reported on September 24 that Liverpool–Girona begins on March 28 with two weekly flights, followed by London Gatwick–Girona from June 3 with three weekly flights. Aviation A2Z, writing from Luton on September 25, confirms the same Girona dates and days of week and notes published fares starting from £35.48 one way including taxes, with holiday packages also offered on a £60 per person deposit.
Six of the eighteen routes serve Spain. Besides the two Girona lines, the package includes Aberdeen–Barcelona and Aberdeen–Palma de Mallorca, Liverpool–Murcia, and Edinburgh–Bilbao. Scotland accounts for six routes in total: Aberdeen’s two Spanish services plus Edinburgh flights to Bilbao, Rome Fiumicino, Tivat and Hamburg.
Birmingham gains Tivat and Milan Malpensa. French additions are Gatwick–Ajaccio, Bristol–Montpellier and Manchester–Bastia. Elsewhere, easyJet lists Bristol–Burgas, Newcastle–Larnaca, London Southend–Rhodes and London Luton–Thessaloniki. Most routes are twice weekly; Newcastle–Larnaca and Luton–Thessaloniki are listed as weekly in the September briefs.
easyJet says it will be the only airline offering direct flights on ten of the eighteen routes. All eighteen are also packaged through easyJet holidays. That sole-nonstop claim is the commercial hook for early bookers at regional airports that otherwise funnel leisure traffic through London or larger European hubs.
Girona is the clear marketing lead. The Catalan airport opens Costa Brava leisure traffic that UK passengers have historically reached via Barcelona or charter programs. Pairing Liverpool and Gatwick gives easyJet both a northern England and a London-area entry without concentrating the entire Girona bet on a single base or a single departure bank.
The UK eighteen-route sale sits beside other easyJet Summer 2027 network moves already reported from Berlin and elsewhere in Europe. For UK regional airports such as Aberdeen, Southend and Newcastle, even a twice-weekly leisure line can be material to summer seat totals and local tourism partnerships.
Aircraft type is not restated route-by-route in the September briefs; easyJet’s UK short-haul network is overwhelmingly Airbus A320 family. Travelers should treat A320-family metal as the working assumption unless the booking engine shows a different subfleet on a specific flight number closer to departure.
Frequencies are thin by design. Twice-weekly leisure patterns keep aircraft utilisation high across the peak summer bank while leaving room to thicken popular lines later if loads justify it. Weekly-only pairs such as Newcastle–Larnaca and Luton–Thessaloniki will be watched closely for upgrade to twice-weekly if early sales are strong.
Tickets for the full eighteen-route set are listed as available on easyJet.com and the airline’s app. As with any seasonal schedule published months ahead, timings and frequencies can still move before the March 28, 2027, summer switch, but the September 24–25 reporting is consistent across Aviation24 and Aviation A2Z on the Girona lead and the ten-airport UK footprint.
For competitors, the package matters most where easyJet claims to be the only nonstop. On contested Spanish and Italian pairs, the value is incremental frequency and holiday packaging rather than a pure monopoly. Either way, the eighteen-route list is one of the larger UK leisure dumps easyJet has timed into a single Summer 2027 sale window.
