Saudi low-cost carrier flyadeal is pushing into the Indian market, opening bookings for a new service between Riyadh and Mumbai that is scheduled to begin on October 3, 2026. The route will operate five times per week using the airline's Airbus A320 fleet, marking a fresh addition to the carrier's fourth-quarter network expansion.
According to schedule filings, flight F3663 will depart Riyadh at 00:55 and arrive in Mumbai at 07:40, while the return F3664 will leave Mumbai at 08:40 and land back in Riyadh at 10:15. The overnight eastbound timing and mid-morning return are designed to feed connecting traffic across flyadeal's Saudi network while offering Indian travellers a convenient early-morning arrival into the Kingdom.
flyadeal is the low-cost subsidiary of Saudia Group, operating an all-Airbus narrow-body fleet built around the A320 family. The carrier has grown quickly as part of Saudi Arabia's broader aviation ambitions, which aim to significantly expand international connectivity and passenger volumes over the coming years. Adding Mumbai gives flyadeal a foothold in one of the world's largest and most competitive point-to-point markets.
The Saudi Arabia-India corridor is among the busiest between the Gulf and South Asia, supported by large expatriate communities, labour mobility, business links and leisure demand. Mumbai, India's financial capital and busiest airport by many measures, is a natural target for a carrier looking to build volume on high-frequency, price-sensitive routes.
By deploying the single-aisle A320 rather than a wide-body, flyadeal keeps unit costs low and frequency high, a hallmark of the low-cost model. Five weekly rotations allow the airline to test demand and adjust capacity ahead of the peak winter travel season without committing to daily service from day one.
The move also underlines how Gulf low-cost carriers are increasingly willing to fly beyond short regional hops, stretching narrow-body aircraft on routes of several hours to reach major South Asian cities. For passengers, the new link adds another direct option on a corridor long dominated by a mix of full-service and low-cost operators.
As with any newly filed service, schedules and timings remain subject to change before launch, and the route's long-term frequency will ultimately depend on how bookings develop through the fourth quarter and into 2027.
