Embraer recorded a 38.4% surge in adjusted net income during the second quarter of 2026, with profit rising from $158 million in the same period of 2025 to $218.6 million. The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer published the results on August 10, 2026, alongside updated guidance for the year.
The company described it as an all-time record for the April-to-June period. Revenue reached $2.2 billion, a 23% increase over the second quarter of 2025, while adjusted free cash flow excluding Eve totaled $401 million for the quarter. Embraer attributed the strong cash performance to better operating results, sales-related pre-downpayment inflows and an extraordinary tax credit.
That tax credit, an exemption from tariffs and an improved business outlook led Embraer to raise its full-year targets. The manufacturer now expects to close 2026 with an adjusted EBIT margin between 10% and 10.6%, up from a previous range of 8.7% to 9.3%, and adjusted free cash flow excluding Eve of $400 million or higher, up from $200 million or higher.
Embraer's order book also hit a new high. The company confirmed its firm order backlog is now worth $34.5 billion — its highest ever and 16% more than at the end of the second quarter of 2025. A backlog of that size gives the manufacturer years of production visibility across its commercial and executive aviation lines.
On deliveries, Embraer handed over 65 aircraft so far in 2026, which it called its strongest second-quarter performance in 16 years and a 17% rise on the same period last year. Commercial aircraft accounted for 20 deliveries in the second quarter, executive jets made up 45, and there were no deliveries from the defense unit during the period.
As the world's third-largest commercial aircraft builder, Embraer's results are closely watched as a barometer for demand in the regional and executive jet segments. The combination of record revenue, a swelling backlog and upgraded guidance points to a manufacturer running at pace as it heads into the second half of the year.
